Possible causes
Noise from a refrigerator is often caused by the appliance not being level, the compressor working harder in warm weather, or loose parts vibrating at the back.
What you can check yourself
Check the refrigerator is level using a spirit level, adjusting the feet as needed, and check nothing is vibrating against the back.
When do you call a technician?
If the appliance is level and there's nothing vibrating but the noise remains unusually loud, the compressor itself may be the issue.
