Is your AEG washing machine showing an error code? Below you'll find all known error codes, what they mean, and what you can check yourself. All information has been researched and, where possible, verified with the manufacturer. Can't solve it yourself, or does the fault keep coming back? We often schedule a technician within 24 hours.
Water inlet fault (tap closed, inlet filter blocked, or hose kinked)
Check the tap (min 10L/min), clean the inlet filter, check hose for kinks
Water drain fault (water not pumped out)
Clean the pump filter (bottom right behind the flap), check drain hose for kinks, check drain height (60-100cm, max 10-15cm into the drain pipe)
Leak detected
Check all hoses are properly attached, check the floor for water
Door lock fault
Check nothing is caught in the door, close it firmly until it clicks. If it persists: door lock possibly faulty, technician needed
Motor fault or motor control problem

Redistribute the laundry in the drum. Note: reset only once, repeated resets cause motor/bearing wear
Programme selector set incorrectly (e.g. started between two programmes)
Turn off the programme selector and restart the programme from the beginning
Power supply voltage too low
Try a different socket, remove any extension lead, check earthing, perform a reset
Fault with the circuit board (PCB)
Reset (unplug, wait a few minutes). If it persists: technician needed
Child lock activated (not a fault)
Press the two buttons with the padlock symbol together to deactivate
